Kunge exposes the design and details of the PS5 Pro, which will be officially announced in early September
PS5 Pro debut: appearance upgrade, performance improvement
According to reliable sources, Billbi-kun has revealed that Sony is about to launch an upgraded model of the PS5, officially named PS5 Pro. No official rendering graph of the PS5 Pro has been released yet, but Billbi-kun has drawn a sketch showing its exterior design.
The PS5 Pro has a white exterior similar to the PS5 Thin and Light model, with two USB-C ports and a power button on the front. There are three black striped bands in the middle of the side panel, which may be related to the replaceable side panel shell. Compared to the PS5 Thin and Light model, the PS5 Pro has increased thickness.
It is worth noting that an optical drive does not appear in the sketch, and Billbi-kun cannot confirm whether there will be an optical drive version. Sony may choose not to include an optical drive to reduce the price and improve market competitiveness. Players who need an optical drive need to buy an external optical drive separately.
The PS5 Pro will use the DualSense controller of the PS5, and there is no update yet. According to Billbi-kun's prediction, the PS5 Pro will be officially announced in early September 2024, which will bring more detailed configuration and performance information.
